Abstract

Patients who receive effective chest compressions during cardiopulmonary resuscitation have a higher chance of returning to life without sequelae. For this purpose, scientists have developed mechanical chest compression devices. In this editorial article, the advantages of manual chest compressions and mechanical chest compressions over each other and current guideline recommendations are discussed.
